For me a good text induction is one where it is not immediately apparent that it is an induction, perhaps it reads like a story or like an article about hypnosis.
An induction method that works well for me of instance is where i read of a recollection of someone being hypnotised, i find myself slowly become that person of whom the trance is being told, i become the subject.
With audio trances or live trances i prefer to be addressed directly.
i remember reading some transcripts of IM trances that a wonderful hypnotist by the name of Goddess Kwan Yin had performed (Goddess Kwan Yin sadly passed away last year). On reading these transcripts i found myself falling in to trance and being effect by the scripts.
Being a logical thinker confusion techniques work well for me, and this is especially true with text trances.
my (limited) experience of text trances is that i do not go so deep, but sometimes and somewhat surprisingly to me text trances can work faster and more covertly that audio.
