I usually incorporate a bunch of inductions into one. For instance, sometimes I'll start with a progressive relaxation induction, which moves into an arm-raising induction, which leads further into a confusion induction. A part if me thinks that the more complex the induction is, the deeper the subject will go into trance. So, even if I am just going with progressive relaxation, I do my best to make it more than just "Relax this part. Now relax that part."
Some minds are fairly simple, but most minds are really complex. As a Hypnodomme, I have to out-smart a complex mind, in a sense. I have to get past all the tensions that the subject might be holding onto, get rid of the "watcher" (the part of the subject that's trying to hold on to everything consciously), inspire trust, and especially with erotic hypnosis, I aspire to arouse the subject sexually. Sometimes I keep the sexual arousal part kind of muted during the induction, because I don't want the subject's horniness to overpower his or her ability to allow me access to the subconscious mind. Then again, sexual arousal, at a certain level, is very much a trance state.
I am still learning more about eye-fixation inductions. I used to think that the swinging pendulum or watch was an outdated technique that Hypnodommes use solely for aesthetic purposes. I thought this mostly because I personally don't go under with a swinging pendulum...and I am a pretty easy subject. Again, all minds are different. And we're all constantly learning new things, whether we are aware of it or not. I used to think that my erotic hypnosis mp3s are *way* more powerful and effective than my erotic hypnosis videos. But I have gone back and watched "Hypno Nails," for example, and have been wowed at how trance-inducing it can actually be.
I think it depends on the current mindset of the subject, as well as whether he or she is mostly a visual creature or someone who is more inclined to register information linguistically. It's not always easy to take every hypnosis subject into trance when I don't really know what works for him or her on an individual basis. I recommend for hypnosis subjects to try different Hypnodommes and see what seems to work most effectively for you. Then, talk to your chosen Hypnodomme about it, so that she has more tools with which to make the erotic hypnosis experience as effective as you would both like it to be.
